Q

How can I protect my PIX-506E from the dllhost.exe?

I have a PIX-506E firewall protecting my IIS server, but I am still finding the dllhost.exe in a hung state three to four times a day. What are your recommendations for additional hardware and/or software to prevent attacks?
In all likelihood this is not an attack problem. There have been many problems with dllhost.exe over the years on IIS servers. Since you don't specify what version of the operating system or applications you are using, I really can't speculate on your particular problem. I suggest you consult the Microsoft Knowledge Bases to find possible solutions.
