Q

Identifying open ports

How do I eliminate open ports that are suspected to be Trojan or unknown ports? I can't seem to trace which application has open ports 5000 or 1900, not to mention several others.

The easiest way would probably be to install ZoneAlarm on your system. The first time a program tries to send something out of your system, ZoneAlarm will catch it. Following the "more info" link will tell you which process it is and what port was used in attempting the access.
