Organizations fighting for civil liberties

Regarding the Executive Security Briefing, The Patriot Act and Carnivore: Reasons for concern?, well done. This is no surprise. Our right to privacy continues to be eroded by government. Cloaked and supposedly justified by whatever gains the largest share of media coverage, the ongoing degradation of our civil liberties and rights to privacy seems hopelessly endless. Do you know of any organization fighting this?

Yes, there are several organizations that are working against this Act and for our rights in general. At the risk of leaving out some worthy organizations, I'll list a few you might be interested in. First is the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). They have been very vocal about the Patriot Act. So has the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC). Others are the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), the Privacy Foundation, StopCarnivore and the In Defense of Freedom Coalition.
