Ridding a system of the Kak worm

I have this nasty virus that I cannot get rid of. Everytime I boot my system(Windows 98), a window displaying nothing comes up and opens a file called KAK.HTA.

I tried to remove the files and other related files; but, it is recreated by some unknown source. I believe it is a nuisance virus, but who knows? It could be doing some nasty things in my system.
