We are considering buying AVK from G Data. This provides a dual-engine sweep, and it is server based. Some are proposing to run another product as well since not all antivirus software is fool-proof. What would be a good complement?
You would not want to run another product in real-time, but you may wish to get another well known scanner, such as F-Secure, McAfee, Norton, Sophos, etc. to run on a scheduled basis.
Most multi-product approaches involve using a different scanner on each layer -- one scanner on the desktop, another on the server and a third on the e-mail level.
