Q

Taking advantage of employer-paid training

If my employer will pay for security training, should I take advantage of that support?
Absolutely! No matter what the subject, individuals who take classroom training invariably report a more positive learning experience, a shorter learning curve and more confidence on the exam than those who self-study. The problem is the cost -- it's not unusual to pay $400 or more per day in the classroom -- so if your employer is willing to pick up the tab, do your best to identify and attend the highest-rated class you can find.
