I am interested in knowing if you have had any feedback/experience on the Computer Forensic Online Training course provided by Key Computer Service.
I am considering taking some computer forensic analysis training and am interested in knowing your opinion on how the Key Computer training compares with the GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification) or GCFA (GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst).
I've never heard of these guys before. That said, their faculty has the right kind of background and credentials to be teaching this stuff. I've asked a couple of heavyweights I know to check them out and to tell me what they think, too, so I'll get back to you when they get back to me.
I don't think their pricing is "out of this world" at $2,750, but it's not cheap either. I also think it's weird that you must run Win95OSR2 or Win98 to run the classroom software. Those are both pretty antiquated (and sadly unstable) OSes on which to be conducting serious investigations.
I should have more info later, and thanks for bringing these guys to my attention.
