@exe Nokia IP VPN, a suite of IPSec VPN products for mobile devices, is built around four IP VPN gateways geared to different-sized offices. It includes a VPN client for Symbian OS-based mobile devices.

The VPN is managed by the Nokia VPN Manager software, which enables security managers to create and update security configurations and polices for both gateways and clients.

Nokia IP VPN starts at $395.

Tumbleweed Communications' Email Firewall 6.1 features enhanced artificial intelligence in its antispam engine that aims to recognize spam as a person would.

The new release also features recipient verification to block junk e-mail, effective blocking of foreign-language spam, improved system management, policy engine and security, and clustering for large deployments.

Pricing is $10,000 for a 2,500-user system.

WatchGuard Technologies' Firebox X Edge Wireless stateful inspection firewall appliances provide wireless security for small businesses, remote offices and telecommuters.

The firewall/VPN includes an 802.11 b/g AP and security options such as the WPA standard, WEP and IPSec mobile VPN. The appliance supports centrally managed VPN connectivity through WatchGuard's enterprise Firebox appliances.

Firebox X Edge Wireless starts at $569.

Check Point Software Technologies' Connectra 2.0 is a software-based SSL VPN product that integrates application and endpoint security.

Using stateful inspection, it employs Check Point's Web Intelligence and Application Intelligence technologies to prevent Web-based attacks like SQL injection and directory traversal. It also includes a clientless version of Check Point's Integrity endpoint security product.

Connectra 2.0 starts at $8,500.

Advanced Software Products Group's ReACT 2.1.2 automates user-based password resets and synchronization across the enterprise.

ReACT is verified for Windows Server 2003 and supports most OSes and apps, including RACF, Novell NDS, Windows domain and Active Directory. It provides extensive user activity logging and reporting for IT teams and auditors.

ReACT is priced at $5,000 per mainframe or $1,000 per server, plus $10 per user.

RSA Security's Federated Identity Manager enables enterprises to efficiently secure user identities for customers and partners.

In addition to SAML support, the product features automated tools to speed deployment, name mapping to resolve different naming conventions, and security features such as digital signing and digital certification validation. It acts as an attribute and authorization service, and supports RSA's SecurID for two-factor authentication.

RSA Federated Identity Manager starts at $25,000.
