CipherTrust's latest version (6.1B) of its flagship appliance, IronMail, features deeper integration with CipherTrust's TrustedSource global threat correlation engine, allowing administrators an integrated view of global e-mail sender reputation. Also new is IronIM 2.0, which allows security managers to integrate policy to secure, log, monitor and encrypt enterprise IM communications.

IronMail is priced at $9,995; IronIM is $5,995.


DesktopStandard's PolicyMaker Application Security 2.0 improves its Group Policy Management Console by allowing network administrators to enforce the principle of least privilege on Windows desktops via Microsoft's Group Policy change and configuration management system. It enables admins to reduce or elevate permission levels on a per-application and per-task basis.

PMAS starts at $27 per seat for enterprises with fewer than 1,000 computers.


Passlogix's v-GO Single Sign-On 6.0 has improved its components: v-GO SSO Administrative Platform is easier to navigate and is more intuitive; v-GO Service Password Reset has a customizable user interface; v-GO Authentication Manger supports XyLoc proximity cards and Safelink biometric devices; v-GO Session Manager supports v-GO AM for all authentication events; and v-GO Provi-sioning Manager has expanded its CLI functionality for .NET and Java.

v-GO SSO costs $69.99 per user.


Privacy Networks' E-mail Integrity Suite is an integrated Linux-based e-mail management platform that combines spam and antivirus protection with searchable e-mail archiving. Customers can manage e-mail communications so that proprietary, confidential and intellectual property is automatically validated, encrypted, and stored for security, decision support, auditing and regulatory or legal compliance.

E-mail Integrity Suite starts at $5,000.


Utimaco Safeware's SecurE-Mail Gateway 5.0 adds role-based administration, which allows security managers to im-plement company-specific guidelines for monitoring and managing corporate e-mail systems, keeping all areas of administrative responsibility separate. It also allows security staff members to establish roles as internal auditors to oversee corporate security policies. The product's encryption and decryption capabilities guarantee secure e-mail communication by attaching e-mail signatures and automatically checking their validity.

Pricing for SecurE-Mail Gateway begins at $3,000.


Verid's knowledge-based authentication and verification services scan extensive database records to validate the identity information submitted by customers and businesses. The services generate questions for each submission and score responses rather than relying on customer-supplied information. The services improve security and facilitate the creation of user accounts.

Pricing starts at $1.90 per transaction.


Citrix Systems' Web Application Firewall Standard Edition protects Web applications from attacks. The company's Access Gateway Enterprise Edition, designed for complex enterprise SSL VPN environments, provides a secure single point of access to all protocols and applications.

Pricing for Web Application Firewall Standard Edition starts at $20,000; Access Gateway Enterprise Edition is $2,495.


Vontu 6.0 enables enterprises and government agencies to discover and protect confidential data on servers and desktops; monitor and prevent confidential data from leaving the network; and automatically enforce data security and encryption policies. The suite includes Vontu Protect, which adds automated enforcement to the capabilities of Vontu Discover.

Vontu 6.0 starts at $100,000, based on the number of users and products purchased.
