Shavlik Technologies announces Security Agents 5, the latest update to its agent-based patch management application. The agents transmit customer data to a central server or network console and can decrease overall network traffic. Security Agent 5 is integrated with Shavlik's agentless patch solution HFNetChkPro 5, but can work independently. Security Agents 5 starts at $16.63 per seat, not including a data access and maintenance fee.

Secure Software's CodeAssure, the company's flagship automated application security suite, is available in version 2.0.
