TippingPoint, a division of 3Com, in partnership with Counterpane Internet Security, offers a managed security service enabling enterprises to outsource and centralize the 24x7 management and monitoring of global, multisite IPS deployments.

In addition to providing managed security services for IPS platforms, the combined service will provide management of other third-party data center server resources and network devices, so customers can aggregate events and correlate network information.

TippingPoint equipment will be incorporated into Counterpane's existing Security Operations Centers.

Verizon Business Managed Wireless LAN (WLAN) Service addresses all aspects of a WLAN deployment and provides a platform for the introduction of future applications, such as voice-over-WLAN. It is built to manage Aruba Networks hardware and includes security features such as network and policy management and intrusion detection/ prevention.

The service procures, installs and tests WLAN equipment. It manages WLAN performance and usage, to help prevent unauthorized access.
