Lumension adds to its endpoint security products with EIC

Lumension Security Inc. announced the launch of the Lumension Endpoint Intelligence Center (EIC). The EIC works with Lumension's endpoint security products by focusing on the risks posed to endpoints from third-party application vulnerabilities. Lumension claims the product embraces a shift in the endpoint security space away from servers and operating systems toward PCs and laptops and the applications they use.

The EIC integrates with Lumension's cloud-based Endpoint Integrity Service to bring together information about malware, threats, application validation and vulnerabilities.

Lumension also announced the beta of its free Lumension Application Scanner. This product is capable of scanning all executable files on an endpoint network and validates them against the integrity service.
