Kingston Digital Inc., an affiliate of Kingston Technology Company Inc., announced at RSA Conference 2011 two new portable data security products: the Data Traveler 4000 (DT4000) and the Data Traveler Vault—Privacy Managed (DTVPM).

The DT4000 brings military-grade encryption to fields that handle high volumes of private data such as health care and finance. The entire cryptographic module of the unit meets a high level of cryptographic standards (FIPS 140-2 Level 2 validated). It will be available as a centrally managed drive later this year.

The DTVPM offers IT managers control over all USB activity. From a central location, users can dictate restrictions on what files may be saved to the drive, execute password control and manage the device state.
