Solera unveiled Solera OS 5.0 publicly at RSA Conference 2011. New features include active reporting of malware threats, new application classification and description tools to give more visibility into the network, and new integration technologies.

Solera also unveiled the DeepSee Universal connector plug-in for Mozilla Firefox. The plug-in allows managers to choose among many antimalware options from various vendors, preventing customers from being locked in to a closed system. The plug-in will be available in the spring for Firefox and sometime in 2011 for other browsers.
