2012: WatchGuard XTM 25 and XTM 26.
The WatchGuard XTM 25 and 26 are designed for small businesses, wireless hotspots and branch offices. The UTM appliances offer full HTTPS inspection, Voice over IP (VoIP) support, and options for application control and all other WatchGuard security services (WebBlocker, spamBlocker, Gateway Antivirus, Intrusion Prevention Service, Reputation Enabled Defense and LiveSecurity Service).
WatchGuard XTM 25 and XTM 26 run identity-based firewalling with Seattle-based WatchGuard’s proxy technology, and use integrated virtual private networks (VPNs) to create tunnels for Apple iPad, iPhone and other iOS-based devices, or enable remote connectivity for mobile employees. Other features include application control, intrusion prevention, spam blocking and gateway antivirus, as well as WatchGuard’s Reputation Enabled Defense, a cloud-based IP and URL reputation service.
They also include five 1GbE ports to increase link speeds, and wireless models have dual-band 802.11n technologies for speed and responsiveness. Additionally, STM 25 and 26 offer real-time monitoring, logging and more than 65 report templates for businesses.
The list price for the XTM 25 begins at $520; the XTM 26 beings at $720. Both are available now, and include one year of WatchGuard’s LiveSecurity Service subscription. Wireless versions are available, starting at $645, including one year of LiveSecurity Service subscription.
