McAfee EMM software allows employees to choose their devices, while offering access to mobile corporate applications. New features and functionality include email sandboxing, the ability to block iCloud backup for iOS, extended security policies, increased scalability, application blacklisting for Android and iOS, which allows administrators to block untrusted SSL certificates, and bulk provisioning for Android and iOS.
According to McAfee, next month they also plan to release EMM 10.1, which includes an integrated secure container for Android that segregates corporate email, calendar and contacts from personal data according to corporate security policies.
Santa Clara, Calif.-based McAfee also announced a new version of McAfee VirusScan Mobile Security for Enterprise. VirusScan Mobile prevents malware from entering the corporate domain with automatic scanning for malware in files, memory cards, applications, Internet downloads and text messages.
