SonicWall boosts SSL product line
SonicWall has expanded its Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) acceleration product line with the release of SSL-R3 and SSL-R6 that offload up to 1,200 secure transactions per second, improving Web server performance for data centers, Web server farms and application service providers. SSL-R3 can offload up to 600 secure transactions per second and can be upgraded to the SSL-R6 to meet demand. SSL-R6 can handle up to 1,200 transactions per second. Both products offload SSL transaction processing from the server, freeing the server for other jobs and speeding the transaction along. SonicWall said its SSL products install and configure within networks with no server changes necessary. SonicWall is an integrated Internet security appliances provider, securing access, transactions and offering security services for the enterprise, e-businesses, SME, education and government markets.

TruSecure and HIPAA compliance
TruSecure has announced an alliance with Corporate Compliance Services (CCS) on a solution to bring health care organizations into compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), legislation that secures the personal information of patients. CCS's Web-based management tool collects, stores and processes data then analyzes the data for gaps in HIPAA compliance. Once gaps are identified, CCS will refer TruSecure's information security assurance program as the recommended implementation system to address HIPAA requirements.
