NetIQ rolls out Security Manager platform

NetIQ announces Security Manager, an enterprise security management platform that provides a central portal that correlates and manages security information across multiple operating systems, applications, anti-virus products, firewalls, network intrusion detection products, network devices and vulnerability assessment products. Security Manager supports Windows NT, 2000, Unix and Linux. Security Manager heads NetIQ's security software suite that also features: Security Analyzer, a vulnerability scanning and assessment product; Firewall Suite, identifies and reports on critical security events at the firewall and analyzes firewall logs for vulnerabilities and holes; Directory and Resource Administrator, manages access rights and policy-based directory content management of Windows NT and 2000. It also does and logging and audit reporting and integrates with the Security Manager portal forwarding audit data for alerting, automated risk management and incident response; File and Storage Administrator that tracks and audits the state of the file system permissions and storage usage across servers.

Ankari software supports Precise Biometrics hardware

Enterprise network authentication software provider, Ankari, announced that its Trinity authentication and single sign-on software supports Precise Biometrics hardware. Trinity software enables users to replace multiple passwords as a single method of authentication using any combination of biometrics, smart cards, tokens and passwords. It is now compatible with the Precise 100 A fingerprint reader and Precise 100 SC integrated fingerprint and smart card reader.
