Internet Security Systems announced it will launch two educational sessions aimed at the enterprise through its SecureU training and education center. Xtreme Wireless Security and Ethical Hacking sessions will be offered to enterprise users like technology managers, auditors, security professionals and site administrators, keeping them up to date with risks and vulnerabilities on networks, servers, desktops or wireless LANs. Xtreme Wireless Security covers the anatomy of a wireless hack, emerging wireless technologies, wireless standards and protocol, wireless encryption technology and more. Ethical Hacking teaches enterprise users hacker defense, outlining hacker tactics and provides a practical demonstration of hacker techniques.
Vigilinx joins RSA partner program
Digital security service provider Vigilinx has joined RSA Security's Secured Partner Program as a consultant and system integrator partner. It will work with RSA to train and certify Vigilinx consultants to integrate RSA Keon software into customer sites. Vigilinx products, meanwhile, have been awarded RSA's Secured RSA KeonReady certification verifying that Vigilinx services are compatible with RSA products and technology. RSA Keon software is a family of interoperable, standards-based PKI products designed to manage digital certificates and provide an environment secure electronic communications and transactions.
AppShield gets seal of approval from ICSA Labs
Sanctum's application control and security software AppShield achieved Certification for Web Application Policy Enforcement (WAPE) from ICSA Labs, a TruSecure division. AppShield guards against Web application manipulation. It is targeted at e-businesses and service providers, security Web sites by blocking, logging and alerting administrators to any application manipulation through the browser.
PentaSafe releases new VPN/firewall agent
PentaSafe Security announced the release of VigilEnt Security Agent for Check Point's VPN-1/FireWall-1 products. VigilEnt Security Agent for VPN-1/Firewall-1 provides a central point of control for security administrators to pinpoint, monitor and receive alerts and potential Internet vulnerabilities from multiple gateways in their security infrastructure. PentaSafe's VigilEnt Security Agent for Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 integrates with PentaSafe's VigilEnt Security Manager central console to provide security administrators with a central point from which they can audit, report, review, and manage key security-related issues for a multiple firewall environment.
