Qualys announced FreeMap, a free Web-based, network-auditing tool that enables companies to identify vulnerable points and devices on their network. Organizations looking to improve their network security and locate any weak spots, Qualys said.

Citadel Security Software announces Hercules 2.0 availability
Citadel Security Software announced the general availability of Hercules 2.0, an automated vulnerability remediation solution. This scalable product enables IT administrators to automatically identify, prioritize and resolve network vulnerabilities across multiple platforms such as Linux, Windows and Solaris. Hercules 2.0 is interoperable with industry-standard network scanners.
SPECTER honeypot software solution updated
NETSEC released an updated SPECTER 7.0 honeypot software solution. Optimized for the Windows XP, SPECTER 7.0 can track hackers as well as simulate 14 different OSes. In an effort to keep their honeypot software dynamic, NETSEC provides 7.0 customers with online updates on decoy content and vulnerability databases. Upgrades are free for 5.x and 6.x customers.
Crossbeam Systems launches the C30 stackable switch
Crossbeam Systems launched the C30, their integrated, stackable switch security solution for medium to large organizations. An integrated-security appliance, the C30 switch provides customers with the service of several solutions in one product at a significantly reduced cost. C30's stacking feature provides customers with greater scalability and reliability.
Tumbleweed rolls out anti-spam solution for general availability
Tumbleweed Communications Corp. announced the general availability of their Tumbleweed Dynamic Anti-Spam Service and Message Protection Lab. Both of these solutions are part of Tumbleweed's e-mail firewall product, MMS (Messaging Management System.) With the availability of these security features, customers will find greater protection from and control over the plethora of incoming spam and potential malware.
SecureNet Asia, Authentica team for distribution partnership
SecureNet Asia announced a reseller agreement with Authentica. Under the terms of the partnership, SecureNet Asia will distribute Authentica's content security solutions in China, Hong Kong and Macau.
