Elemental Security, Imperva top Innovation Station Showdown

On Wednesday, RSA Conference 2006 unveiled the winners of the Innovation Station Showdown. Eleven of the information security industry's up-and-coming companies presented their company's technology visions to the Innovation Station panel.

"The purpose of the Innovation Station program is to recognize the emerging companies which, based on their technology, vision and market impact, are poised to make a mark in the information security industry," said Sandra Toms LaPedis, general manager and area vice president of RSA Conference:

First place was a tie between Elemental Security and Imperva. Elemental Security is a policy-based software solution while Imperva monitors and audits database usage in real-tiime for data security and regulatory compliance.

Second place was awarded to Mazu Networks, a provider of behavior-based network security solutions. Rounding out the winners was Tablus, a provider of content-protection solutions for enterprises, which received the third place prize.
