Reactivity XML Firewall integrates nCipher crypto hardware Web services security vendor Reactivity Inc., announced that its XML Firewall security appliance now includes the integrated nCipher cryptographic acceleration and secure key management hardware. The upgrade enables enterprises to easily deploy hardware security keys, certificates and policies across firewall clusters from a browser-based console, said Reactivity. The XML Firewall also provides SSL acceleration and private key protection for XML-based Web services applications. For more info on Reactivity's XML Firewall Security Threat Manager/Surveyor available Network security management vendor, OpenService announced the availability of the Security Threat Manager/Surveyor. STM/Surveyor provides organizations with an audit tool capable of displaying comprehensive real-time and historical views of threats across the network as well as detailed reports. AEP Systems updates SureWare A-Gate Network security vendor, AEP Systems unveiled the latest version of the SureWare A-Gate remote-access appliance. New features include clientless, secure remote access from any Web browser, Windows Terminal Service access, access for up to 100 online users and SSL encryprtion for all communications. SureWare A-Gate AG-600 costs $8,995 with no additional license fees. NetVision releases NVAssess Network directory security vendor NetVision announced the release of NVAssess, its latest vulnerability assessment tool. NVAssess enables organizations to scan, audit and receive detailed reports on network activity and potential threats in both the Microsoft and Novell environments, according to NetVision. Organizations can also choose to create enterprise-wide policies for managing all vulnerability and security settings using NVAssess. SunGard, Guardent partner for managed security services Integrator SunGard Availability Services announced a partnership with managed security services vendor Guardent where the two will combine to provide customers with centralized disaster recovery, and 24/7 monitoring and management. According to the terms of their agreement, both companies will integrate their services -- SunGard's secure infrastructure and security consulting and Guardent's managed security services. For more info on SunGard Availability Services Aventail announces End-Point Control SSL-VPN appliances and services vendor Aventail Corp. announced End-Point Control (EPC) for securing remote access from the Internet including riskier endpoints like handhelds. According to Aventail, EPC will provide customers with the most secure means for remote access by encrypting and authorizing all access to a corporate network based on a user's identity. Other EPC features include source-based access policy rules, control over split tunneling, strong authentication support, automatic desktop security applidations, cache protection, user authorization and crypto-level access control.
