DEFINITION - 1) Sybari's Antigen is antivirus software for Lotus Domino and Microsoft Exchange.

2) AntiGen (with a capital G) is freeware developed by Fresh Software to detect the presence of Back Orifice on a machine running Microsoft Windows. AntiGen removes Back Orifice and cleans up system changes that have been made, using a wizard interface. According to Fresh Software, AntiGen was the first application to offer protection from Back Orifice in 1998.

These product names are apparently derived from the biological term, antigen, which is a foreign substance in the body that stimulates the production of an antibody (which fights disease).
