PestPatrol certified, launches multiple-threat solution
Source: PestPatrol
Date: 22 Feb 2002

Description:

PestPatrol announced a corporate version of its consumer product that detects and eliminates Trojan horse programs, hacker tools, distributed denial-of-service agents and spyware. The product uses code analysis and signature matching to detect malicious code. The software can be deployed across corporate networks with centrally reported results. The product scans may be scheduled for any frequency. Administrators are alerted to malicious code and may decide to ignore, quarantine or delete the code based on pre-configured settings.

PestPatrol also announced that its flagship product received Open Platform for Security (OPSEC) certification from Check Point Software. PestPatrol uses CheckPoint Secure Configuration Verification interface with Check Point NG (Next Generation) to determine if a desktop is free of malicious code prior to setting up a VPN connection.
