Netegrity, Inc., and Communicator Inc. announced at RSA Conference 2003 their support for the Liberty Alliance's Phase 2 specifications. The specs will provide an open and commonly accepted platform for companies and other organizations to build interoperable identity-based Web services. Netegrity's SiteMinder product supports federated identity services helps companies leverage a single unified authentication, single sign-on, authorization, and auditing model to provide shared security services for users to log in once, using a broad range of authentication services.

Communicator, meanwhile, announced it will support the specifications in Hub ID Identity Management service. Hub ID securely manages identities both within and across enterprises in a wide variety of industries, including financial services, government and life sciences.
