NFS over secure shell on Solaris
Follow the instructions included with this tip and you'll be able to run NFS over secure shell on Solaris.
- Ensure that volume are properly shared on the NFSserver.
- Now, create a tunnel from client to NFSserver: ssh user@NFSserver -L 3069:localhost:2049 -N
- then mount the distant volume throught the tunnel: mount nfs://localhost:3069/path_to_share /where_to_mount
Note: You can use whatever port you want instead of 3069, but I recommend to disable the use of privileged port for NFS-mount in /etc/system on NFSserver.
