How to make sure you have official Solaris binaries

Clark Cooper explains how to ensure that your binaries haven't been modified by security compromises such as a RootKit.

Security compromises, such as a RootKit, can sometimes modify the system binaries. Use Solaris Fingerprint to verify that your Solaris binaries are official. The process compares the MD5 digital fingerprint on your binaries against a trusted source. The process can even be automated for regular checks.
