The keynote speaker at Black Hat DC, former White House advisor Paul Kurtz, said representatives from the public and private sector need to coordinate who should direct a national response to a cyberattack. Kurtz worked on the Obama transition team and has been mentioned as a possible pick to fill the next cybersecurity czar post. The Obama administration recently chose former Bush cybersecurity advisor, Melissa Hathaway to review the nation's cybersecurity.
