Ernie Hayden on the keys for success in the role of CISO

In this video interview, Ernie Hayden, managing principal – critical infrastructure protection/cybersecurity on Verizon's RISK Team and a technical editor for SearchSecurity.com, lists key attributes for success in the role of CISO.

In addition to technical and communications skills, Hayden believes CISOs must be tenacious in pushing their message throughout the organization. Hayden provides examples from his own career as a CISO at many companies, including instances when timing and luck helped to move his career forward.
