NIATEC director on fostering an information assurance training program

For those students who earn their way in, a spot in the National Information Assurance Training and Education Center at Idaho State University is a rare opportunity. In return for a commitment to serve their country and ply their newly minted skills to important causes, often including national security, program participants receive a scholarship to study information assurance and simultaneously work toward an MBA.

In this interview at the 2012 (ISC)² Security Congress, NIATEC Director and Idaho State University Professor Corey D. Schou, Ph.D., discusses how NIATEC works, what it takes to earn one of the program's coveted positions, and why he feels his students are always well prepared for successful information security careers in both the public and private sectors.
