03 MAY 2002
About the White Paper:
When planning for the deployment of a strong user-authentication system, it is important to recognize the need to supplement key technologies, such as operating systems, with strong user authentication strategies. Understand the types of authentication and how they can be combined to achieve higher levels of security. Plan for a flexible system that can adapt to user situations and the local environment and build in adequate protection against user attacks. Develop a strategy for installing new system equipment and enrolling large numbers of users. This paper discusses these issues as they apply to today's large organizations.
