About the White Paper:
For most organizations, the optimal balance between security and productivity has rarely been achieved. Addressing the "password problem" or efforts to mitigate passwords have traditionally yielded stop-gap solutions that continue to expose enterprise, IT inefficiencies. The reliance on native format applications will continue to define the environment an enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) solution must placate across client-server, legacy and web-based applications. Traditionally, Single Sign-On has been expensive to deploy, manage, and scale across IT environments. New technologies, well-behaved infrastructure applications and the maturation of authentication management and other security infrastructure principles, provide the impetus for a new paradigm in enterprise Single Sign-On. These advancements additionally allow Single Sign-On to be deployed with the goal of increasing security. This paper will outline the requirements for a new type of Secure, Enterprise Single-Sign On while surveying the landscape of existing architectures, and technologies, and their impact on Enterprise security, productivity and the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). |
