We have a small Citrix farm that serves office applications over a frame relay network and LAN to our users. We have antivirus on the Exchange server. Do we need an antivirus program for the terminal servers? If so would you recommend one? Thank you!
One of the nicest things about being plugged into the Anti-Virus Information Exchange Network (AVIEN - www.avien.org) is that I can get answers to questions like these in a flash. In today's antivirus world, it is very hard to be aware and up-to-date on all that happens, what products are out there, etc.
Here's the scoop on Citrix: There are several products that will run on a Citrix server, including Trend Micro's ServerProtect and NAV Corporate Edition from Symantec.
Most members of AVIEN who have Citrix systems say that they recommend running an antivirus scanner on the servers. If they say so, I believe them!
