Security updates galore from Cisco, McAfee and Apple

Cisco, McAfee and Apple have added to the array of security patches Microsoft and Adobe released this week. Here’s a roundup:

Apple has fixed eight QuickTime flaws attackers could exploit to make the media player crash or run malicious code on targeted machines.

McAfee has patched flaws in ePolicy Orchestrator and ProtectionPilot attackers could exploit to compromise vulnerable systems. Several bulletins were released for the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and ProtectionPilot updates, which are listed in this Secunia advisory.

Finally, Cisco has issued cisco-sa-20070711-cucm, a security update for flaws in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) attackers could exploit to cause a denial of service or launch malicious code.

Now that the details are out, attackers will no doubt get to work on ways to go after these flaws, so users will want to get these updates deployed quickly.
