Check Point offers two new unified threat management (UTM) product lines. VPN-1 UTM scales for enterprises of all sizes. In addition to firewall, VPN, intrusion prevention and antivirus, VPN-1 UTM includes SSL VPN, Web application firewall and host checking, and examines more than 150 predefined applications, services and protocols. VPN-1 Power features integrated firewall, VPN and intrusion prevention, and SecureXL acceleration for high-performance environments.

Price: $5,218 for the CS250 appliance for fewer than 250 users to $16,700 for the CS1000 for up to 1,000 users

The latest version of MIMEsweeper SMTP Appliance adds personal message management, TLS encryption, further enhancements to policy management and a new version of SpamLogic. The personal message manager allows users to manage their personal email traffic by giving them access to appropriate quarantine areas. TLS encryption allows secure communication with trusted third parties without the need for complex encryption systems. The enhanced antispam engine increases accuracy.

NFR's two new low-end security sensors deliver 20 Mbps and 50 Mbps inline data rates, respectively, to provide security at remote office locations. Features include real-time threat protection through Dynamic Shielding Architecture, which can automatically recognize attack threat points; network intelligence information, to assess threat points and plan remediation strategies; and situational awareness and control, allowing security managers to focus on specific, suspicious events.

The latest NetContinuum Web application firewall and secure application gateways offer exponential performance increases over previous application proxies to service high-demand data centers. The NC-1100 offers four application proxy networking options, and application wizards to define applications and protect them with a choice of preset security policies. Policies can be configured manually or through a wizard; a dashboard monitors various aspects of application assurance.

SpectraGuard MNC is a central management and reporting appliance and console for multiple SpectraGuard Enterprise server appliances. SpectraGuard Enterprise 5.0 adds capabilities for multiple-tiered levels of management, as well as scalability and performance enhancements. SpectraGuard SAFE (Security Agent For Endpoints) manages wireless connections and ensures that the user does not engage in unsafe behavior. AirTight also announced a high-capacity hardware server/appliance for SpectraGuard Enterprise.

The new release of this network access solution allows organizations to dynamically adjust network security and access control in real time based on the user's identity. Features include support for strong authentication, enhanced monitoring and reporting, and automated configuration.
