Nokia to sell Check Point security products

Check Point Software Technologies of Tel Aviv and Finland based Nokia recently announced a partnership to provide one-stop shopping for customers to purchase their products. Under the new agreement, customers and partners can buy security products directly from Nokia. This agreement follows on the commitment made by the two companies in December 2001 to more closely align with one another at all levels of the relationship, including sales, engineering and marketing.

Authentica rolls out new e-mail gateway software

Waltham, Mass.-based Authentica, Inc. recently unveiled Authentica Secure Gateway, its new enterprise e-mail security software. The product lets organizations to systematically protect all outgoing messages without any changes to their internal e-mail workflow or extra steps or training for users. It combines easy-to-use e-mail encryption with a universal interface to all leading content scanning products, including those from TrendMicro, SurfControl, MailMarshall, Tumbleweed and Clearswift MIMEsweeper. Authentica Security Gateway also gives corporations, which standardized on Microsoft Exchange, the ability to secure e-mail in line with content filtering policies.

Wavelink provides mobile management

Wavelink Corporation of Kirkland, Wash. recently introduced Wavelink Mobile Manager Enterprise, complete wireless LAN systems management software that provides visibility and control of both access points and mobile devices from a single management console. It greatly reduces the enterprise's total cost of ownership (TCO) and promotes WLAN adoption by leveraging existing infrastructure investments, maximizing network management resources, increasing uptime and enhancing network security.
