Sun and Thor Technologies announced that Thor's enterprise provisioning system will be integrated into the Sun ONE identity management platform, leading off Quick Takes.

Thor provisioning integrated into Sun identity management platform

Sun Microsystems, Inc. and Thor Technologies, Inc. this week announced an identity and access rights management product aimed at Global 2000 companies. The offering combines Thor's Xellerate secure enterprise provisioning system with the Sun Open Net Environment identity management platform. The combined product allows organizations to use the Sun ONE identity management platform to grant, manage and revoke user access to applications based upon that platform, or third-party applications, directly from the Sun ONE Directory Server and Sun ONE Identity Server.

Sirocom to offer Neoteris secure remote access appliances as service

RSA crypto module FIPS certified

RSA Security Inc. announced the availability of RSA BSAFE Crypto-C Micro Edition 1.7. The software has been recognized by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as a FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic module.
