SSH Communications unveils SSH Tectia 4.0

SSH Communications announced the SSH Tectia client/server solution 4.0, a managed security middleware solution. Also included with Version 4.0 is SSH Tectia Connector, which provides a transparent end-user security client with tunneling features. The SSH Tectia client/server 4.0 is a middleware solution for securing business-critical applications and comes with three modules: SSH Tectia Server 4.0, SSH Tectia Client/Server 4.0 and SSH Tectia Connector 4.0.

Consul InSight Security Manager 5.0 meets regulatory compliance head on

Consul risk management announced Consul InSight Security Manager 5.0, their solution for complying and fulfilling regulatory demands. Consul intends to offer a compliance module for each regulation like Sarbanes-Oxley for the Insight Manager. By creating individual modules, organizations can purchase the compliance modules appropriate to their industry. For example, the Sarbanes-Oxley module operates like a security auditor by providing templates, a dashboard and regulation-specific reports. Pricing begins at $40,000 for the Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Management module and will be available for purchase in early 2004.

Kensington Technology Group locks down laptop data

Kensington Technology Group announced PCKey USB Access Key for securing data on the laptop. The PCKey provides two-factor authentication and 128-bit AES hard drive encryption and keeps data "locked" until a user requests it. By inserting the key into a USB port and providing password information, users are able to access their laptop.
