This week's Risk & Repeat podcast discusses how Microsoft's Remote Desktop Protocol has seen a growing number of threat activity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Already a popular vector among ransomware gangs, RDP has received even more attention lately as usage of the protocol, as well as other remote access software, has skyrocketed. Several security vendors have published reports in recent weeks warning of RDP security threats and urging organizations to take proper precautions, such as enabling multifactor authentication to protect account credentials. Kaspersky Lab, for example, reported a massive increase in brute-force attacks on RDP accounts across the globe.

In this episode, SearchSecurity editors Rob Wright and Alex Culafi discuss the rise in threats to remote workers, what the latest data says about the ransomware landscape, and how organizations should address and improve RDP security.
